Hi all!
I was browsing through this forum already last summer, but since I hadn't finished the books yet, I didn't join. I've realized that I can't talk about WoT with my friends (they are not either interested, or then they are planning to read the series. Really troublesome... ), but there's just so much to talk about! I'm glad I found here.
If you'd like to get to know me very quickly, there's three words: reading, talking and birds. I love them all. Especially birds. And reading. I also sing and paint sometimes, and enjoy yoga and hiking.
I could mention a few words about my relationship with the WoT books. I read the first... 3 or 4 books when I was a teenager (like 13 years ago or something). Then I got bored, since the translating (and publishing) was "too slow", so that I forgot what had been going on in previous books. So I stopped, and read some other fantasy books, and later on only school books and other very boring but useful books.
Still, I always wondered, how Rand and Egwene and the others were doing...
So, when I graduated (and didn't have to read all the dull books anymore), I re-started the series. It took about a year and half to finish them all, but when I closed the last book a week ago, I felt very very satisfied. And also a huge need to talk someone about them.
Btw, I apologise in advance that I might not be able to remember very well, which part of the story belongs in which books. The reason is quite simple: when the books were translated in Finnish, they made each of them into 2 or 3 individual books. So I might say "In book 24 there was this scene...". >.< I'm planning to buy the English ones to overcome this annoying confusion.
I want already to thank you who happened to be in chat when I randomly appeared there, for making me feel very welcome.
