Also what is this I keep hearing about Mafia? Some online game you guys play here or a good chunk of you do?

It is an online game that we play here. Long story short there is a good team and a mafia team and the innocents are trying to lynch the mafia during the 'day' phases and the mafia are trying to kill enough innocents that their numbers are even during the 'night' phases.

Your personal thoughts on the game, worth learning or not? Cause I have a lot of time at work to blow on well.. doing nothing but staring at cameras.

So, long story short, yes, I think it's worth learning. There is also a class about it in the classroom, which you will be able to see when you become a citizen, if you want to learn about it.

I have to disagree with Ary about the rapid beginning of the books. I didn't like the prologue the first time I read it, and I hated the first few chapters. I put the book aside for a few months, until my friends convinced me it got better. I enjoy the prologue and early chapters now, on re-reads, but thought they were terribly boring the first time through. Guess it depends on personal preferences.

The book series is amazing, but not as amazing as the community here. There are so many people on the Tower with common interests with you (and me!), it's awesome to find people with whom to connect... explore topics... and hang out. There is so much potential for the Tower and its people to mean something to you. (That is my personal opinion.)

Mafia was one of my first loves on the Tower. A lot of people may be intimidated meeting the longer-standing members if they're new, but it's quite easy to rub elbows with everyone--when they're trying to kill you! D:

I was wondering, does this book series have a slow start or is it rather rapid?

I'm on my first read through and got stuck around 8-9. The first half of the series is definitely fast, but it slowed down for me.
