Hello tarvalon.net and all who dwell here, it is with my honor to introduce myself. My name is Gill and I have recently moved to a better work situation that will free up some time for me. Now what does that mean to you all? Simple it means I will finally have the time I require to dive into The Wheel of Time, and in doing so will be tracking my progress on here, and hopefully making a few friends at the same time. I plan on picking up the the first book later today, and can't wait to bite into it.

I was recently told by a certain bacon eating reptile that I would, and I quote "freaking love it" here. So I decided to join up and see just how amazing this community is, so please don't be shy. This may be my introduction but it is also yours. For a quick listing of hobbies I have books (duh), writing, pen&paper games, D&D, model gaming, painting, video games, chess, and medical biology. Yes I did just class that as a hobby, I've spent a couple of years in and out of hospitals till I finally became fed up with work and moved to something easier.

So tell me what do people do here, and is this book series really as amazing as I've been told? I've heard of some the events and meetings that happen and hope one day I can join in, really seems like my crowd.

Updated: Also forgot to add that I do watch a bit of Anime, and lived 2 years in Japan!

Rapid! When I picked up the first books what seems like forever ago, I read the prologue and was completely hooked!! And welcome and such!

Good to know the people are friendly here, well now that I got a semi-day shift I'll be on here alot Mon-Fri. Can't wait till I can really get active on these forums. So Roheryn what kind of things should I be looking to do on this site? Quick I need those suggestions my day is almost to a end and I'm still no citizen!
