Newbie from Sweden!

Hello,

I'm glad to be here! My name is Sofia, and I'm a student from Sweden. I've never been part of an online community before, so I'm not sure how to do this, but I have a very good feeling about TV.net.

I love WoT (duh), and finished reading them only a year or so ago. I love the idea of Aes Sedai, and find it inredibly vexing that it's not an actual occupation. So I'm very happy to have found TV.net! The Gray Ajah is my dream, I just feel very connected to them. I just graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Japanese, and will begin studying Social Anthropology at uni this fall. I'm very exited to learn more about humanity and our cultures.

Some of my hobbies include dancing (me and my friends have a dance cover group on youtube, we're called Macchiato Dance), baking and cooking, and of course, reading.

My favourite Wheel of Time character has to be Egwene. I'm so amazed by her strength and intelligence.

I think I'm going to wrap this up now, I'm not sure what else to write about. I'm really looking forward to talking to you guys! If there's anything you want to know about me, feel free to ask. I have a LOT of free time during summer, and am always happy to chat.

I'm very curious about your dance group, I'll have to find the videos as soon as my internet connection starts to behave nicely. :grumble I don't think I heard about "cover" groups before, though - how did you decide to do that?

Also - because I like to bake, too - what's your favourite thing to bake?

Some of my friends really like k-pop and j-pop (Korean and Japanese pop), and in k-pop and j-pop idol groups usually have complete choreographed dances, which they put on youtube, to their songs! My friends saw that some people did dance covers of those and put on youtube, and decided they wanted to do the same. So they made a group and invited anyone interested to join! Since then a lot of similars groups have appeared in Stockholm, and we sometimes do collaborations and stuff. We learn from videos, so it's a lot cheaper than dance classes.

I love making lemon cakes and apple pie! I found a really great Game of Thrones inspired lemon cakes recipe that I do all the time. What do you usually bake?

I did consider Anthropology, but I want to work in international relations in the future, and Social Anthropology seemed a better fit for that.

I think we are all a little bummed/frustrated that being an actual Aes Sedai, Warder, etc. in real life is not able to happen, but this community is a wonderful place to start!
