Elania al'Manir
Aes Sedai
Most of the people I've personally talked to either love her or hate her.
This one threw me for a loop as well. VERY DIRECTI was also interested that he felt able to emphatically state "NO" to showing Rand ending up with three romantic interests. Curious.
I definitely think this is one of the sleepers of the Q&A. For anyone who wants to see the actual question/answer, it's here:I was also interested that he felt able to emphatically state "NO" to showing Rand ending up with three romantic interests. Curious.
Yeah, I feel this one for sure. I have hopes that things are like, actually happening but he's under NDAs. There was one question that was something like "can you explain your recent uptick in activity about the show in recent weeks?" and he said he could not answer that question. That strongly suggests there's something there that he just can't talk about, and not that it's an unknown (in my mind, at least). On the flip side, it's disappointing that even now he could not even ballpark or speculate about when or if the show is even going to be ordered by Amazon yet. I know all the business realities involved in stuff like this, but it's hard to really invest your heart in the conversation when you don't even know if this is just going to go poof in a year or two and be just so much smoke and pipe dreams.
Yes! I noticed this, too. I think that's pretty key in what's him being mysterious because secrets make the show better, and what is under NDA.but his tone and the difference between the WAFO answers and the "I can't answer" answers
And here I was wanting my full season of Crossroads of Twilight.
*shudders in horror at the thought*And here I was wanting my full season of Crossroads of Twilight.
What does this mean? I'm out of the loop.I got WaFO'd.

This! It's a play on "RaFO" - Read and Find Out.
It predates Brandon by quite a bit, actually. Robert Jordan himself would regularly hand out RAFO cards at book signings and such.I think it was from a Q&A with Brandon Sanderson before the last book came out.
