I just got this in an email from the American Red Cross:

They don't always tell me where my blood goes but I love it when they do

Sorry, my iron count was too low when I went to donate and regardless of the fact I didn't give any blood, our clinics won't accept me back before the regular 3 month wait between donations

That sucks! You should be able to donate as soon as your iron is up.

That sucks, Kerna! Here they'll test your other finger to see if that one shows you having enough iron. If not, then they'll let you donate as soon as it's up again. They also recommend here if you frequently donate blood that you take a multivitamin that includes iron.

Most important thing is that you're healthy.

Three months? :scratch I think it's a 6 or 8 week wait here.

In Norway they'll only let you give up to four times a year. I donated blood a week or so ago and they said they'd call me in again in February.

It seems Norway has among the strictest rules in the world for giving blood...I had no idea it varied so much!

We have 27 pints donated so far! That is awesome.
Even if we don't hit our goal for the year (which I think we set for 40 or 50 pints) we are still doing some fantastic work.
Thank you so much for making it a point to give your time and blood when you are able to. It really does make such a big difference!
