Let a mother brag for a moment - Elyss's embroidery, design work with a pen, and seamstress skills can rival many seasoned adults. She is a talented and lovely person ❤️

And I haven't got anyone in my pocket yet, so it's nice and roomy.

You sound really talented, Elyss. I like you! :p
Tell me, how do you feel about pockets? :shifty

I only know a little about pockets Dnae, but they sound neat!

You have many hobbies – it sounds as though you have accomplished a lot. :pleased-1: Creating things is always quite fulfilling.

I am certainly always busy Selvyn. I enjoy making things, from crafts, to writing, to even cooking! My entire family is creative, so I have always had a good environment for my efforts.

That's a great job, Elyss. :D Although, I should mention that we usually put our images behind spoilers so as to preserve desktop-space, mainly. :look: You do this by placing your image (just like you did now, with
spoiler] (minus the m.)

Also for people with bad connections, as loading pictures makes it worse. But I'm willing to overlook it for my pocket bunny. :)

A good environment is such a positive influence with these things. Hopefully you'll still have time for it all in your new pocket!

I noticed you mentioned taekwondo in your profile. Do you do it often? I used to; it's been... at least five years since I attended anything to do with it, though. It was quite enjoyable, but it did get to the point where I felt like I wasn't making any progress. I think I was too inflexible. :look:

I love Tae Kwon Do Selvyn, and I usually attend two to three classes per week. This January will be seven years since I first started, and I'll be testing for my second degree in October. I paricularly enjoy the forms, and the free sparring as well.

I don't mind at all Madame Mayor! It is one of my favorite subjects. I got my first sewing machine when I was ten, but I have always enjoyed crafts of all kinds.
My knitting and crochet skills are good, but not great. I've only done flat pieces in both, several crochet afghans and knitted scarves. I made my first full costume for JordanCon! I made a dress and did bead embroidery on the hem, neckline, and sleeves. I created the pattern based on a medieval cotehardie. I look forward to doing more.
Being a member of a short family, my hemming and alteration skills are exercised regularly, even if they aren't as fun as my other projects. I've made several quilts, and I'm currently trying hand-quilting for the first time. (Lots of thimbles and stabbing myself, but I'm getting through it!)

I LOVE embroidery. I think this is my favorite craft to work with. I've experimented with beads, and I'm playing around with long-and-short stitch cherry blossoms for my next costume. Those are really my main crafty things, and I do a bit of zentangle-type doodling. I don't think that's defined as a "craft", but it is another artistic activity I enjoy. As the list must hint, I'm never without a project, and I'm usually working on two or more at once. :D

Holy cow! You're really accomplished. Have you already checked out the Hand Crafts subforum in the Discussion Hall? It seems right up your alley!

Selvyn you practice taekwondo? :eek That's news to me. :embarassed: Ahem. I was a Shotokan person, but it has been many years for me too.
