Welcome to TVN! We're so happy you found your way to us! My favorite of the Boys is definitely Perrin, but my "real" favorite depends on which of the books I'm reading. There's so many wonderful character arcs, Jordan was a master at that kind of writing.

As far as the pretty signatures go, in Ask The White Tower you will find Graphics Requests. There are a lot of fine Towerfolk offering artwork for signatures, avatars, resizing, and re-coloring.

The Slog is definitely a thing for some of us; and I freely admit that some of Perrin's chapters there are beyond boring.... and then I remember that, unlike when I first read them, the boys are still late teens early twenties and I am in my thirties. Hopefully more mature now, than when I first read those chapters~ which might explain some of the irritation at his choices.

That would be lovely! You'd make a wonderful addition to the City.

Yes, that is in part what I get from re-reading the books constantly: as my own outlook on life evolves, I discover that I attend to new nuances or themes in the story.

I liked both actors very much. The new actor really won me over when he did the scene with the dagger and Padan Fain. I thought that was brilliant. And in my head Canon that’s when he became the new Matt.

I feel like The Wheel of Time is unparalleled when it comes to these snapshots into different areas and peoples -- no other series does it the same, except for maybe Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive. I enjoyed taking a break from the main characters and seeing how their choices rippled across the world. Going from being in the middle of things to seeing the bigger picture brings so much depth and dimensionality.
