Hi all!

Freshly arrived in South Harbor, I am looking goggle-eyed at the Ogier-built city and this lovely community.

I was introduced to the Wheel of Time in 2012 and have been (re)reading the books ever since.
They are my constant audiobook, now that I lend my paper copies to new initiates and have carried me through a couple major life transitions over the years.

My favorite character is Nynaeve al'Meara, in whom I find a kindred woman who had to grow up fast mostly on her own, and cares for her community through healing. Surrendering would 100% be my block 😅

But the Tower is calling... so I had to come!

Yes, Aviendha is phenomenal! She has more of a community through her Spear Sisters early on and then through the first-sister bond. Both go through a maturation of their raw strength and navigate their respective culture shock as they develop into leaders 🙂 If I had a daughter, I would name her Aviendha.

There are so many great characters!
The way Siuan bounces back is inspiring and Egwene teaches us so much about leadership on her own journey!
Male characters are also fascinating: from Lan and Rand, to Perrin and Mat who both reveal themselves beyond youth, to the great Captains and Tam al'Thor...

Ultimately, that is what I like about it: it's a whole universe!
