I also do not like Perrin's side-story, which is a shame since I like his character. The Rand parts, while not always 100% enjoyable, at least make it seem as though the main storyline is going somewhere.

Mother, I must agree with you about my name... it sounded wonderful to start but whenever I log on I find myself asking "Now how did I spell that again?". At least the a and the e are in the same order :P
I appear to not have too much choice about being in a pocket, so I suppose I shall resign myself to that fate for the time being.

I feel the same way about Perrin. He was one of my favorite characters for several books the first time I read the series, and I still like him for most of the series, but that one plot line turns him into Mopey McWhineypants for a few books, and it gets old really fast. Rand, I just find kind of boring as a character, and I feel similarly about Min once she starts hanging around Rand all the time, and since most of Rand's storyline in the later books is from either Rand's or Min's POV...
