Greetings 🙏 visited this forum as a lil kid first reading WoT and now tis time to join
I'm sad I missed DID Awareness Month bc we are an OSDD system {no amnesia} of 20 or so members - tight knit enough where we can consider ourselves one being, but also distinct. The best analogy we have is that seen as a whole, we are/I am like white light - and seen as alters, we are like that light split into a spectrum.
Some of our inner world is based on WoT spaces and mythology, specifically the Pattern, the Light, and weaving as manipulation of the threads of reality. It's an elegant and intuitive system that clicks with us - and that's honestly the main reason we have an affection for the series.
Also love Mat for being such a flirt, and Moiraine for being so bloody cool. As for Rand, we'd like him a lot more if him and his three puppy-eyed love interests would all stop fighting and form a polycule .. but I'm pretty sure that isn't how it ends {we haven't finished the series yet}.
LOVE love love what the TV show has done with the story. Just.. improved on all counts [except for Mat. not sure what's goin on with him story-wise]. Perfect actors and costumes and settings, beautiful tightening of the story - the frickin SOUNDTRACK - and hey, the men and women don't hate each other anymore! {the main reason we're having trouble getting thru the series 😂}
Our main fandom is the Maze Runner. absolutely rabid fan of that one. thominewt forever
We are in a weird liminal period of life right now.. our main energy goes to therapy and then art & writing and bouldering.
We speak to varying degrees Italian, Spanish, French, and toki pona {minimalist conlang that i try to persuade everyone i meet into learning}. and a few words of the Old Tongue thanks to the songs hahha[/ISPOILER]
