I haven't played it, but there's a thread here that someone started somewhat recently to discuss it. :)

I love board games! I just don't get to play them nearly as much here. My family loves board games and has huge shelves full of them. The board game group I joined here is about a 3-hour drive from me, but I do have some friends closer by who like to play that I try to get together with whenever I can. :pleased-1:

So my mind must've glossed over it until now, but I absolutely love your avatar! (unfortunately the site rules say you have to have a person as your avatar, but I still think it's awesome!) I'm a huge Green Lantern fan, though I'm woefully behind in the comics right now (I just read volume #11 of GL/GLC/New Guardans/Red Lanterns last weekend which are all dated September 2012....). I have the Comixology app on my tablet, though, so I'm slowly getting caught up again. :)

I'm not using my sig rotator right now, but when I am, I have a Green Lantern sig that I really like. :pleased-1:

Kassina!!!!

You just became my favorite person...like ever! hahaha. I am a a Flash/Blue Lantern Fan :D.

I spent two years in Alaska. I left right after BLACKEST NIGHT ended. So when I cam home I decided to collect all 9 years of Geoff Johns run :). So I restarted. I JUST BARELY started "Rise of the third army". :) Im glad a fellow GL fan is here.

Ps- I REALLY like your sig...how can I find one similar? I would like to steal yours with my name is I could. :P But if your protective of your Rings I will understand hahaha. :)

I am considering- when I get my Avatar designed, I am considering adding a lot of blue to it so that I can still claim my blue lantern affiliation. hahaha. Let me know if you think that is a good idea...haha.

Interesting, you guys. :) I just recently bought a couple of Green Lantern trade paperbacks. I'd never read any before, but have become intrigued by the character and the overarching mythology. The two I got are Ganthet's Tale, and No Fear (based on what online recommendations suggested were "good places to start"). Anyway, I can tell that there is a lot of complexity below the surface...

 Awesome! I like the Flash too, though I haven't read as much as I have of Green Lantern. My brother's a big Flash fan, though, and I read all the issues during Flashpoint.

That's cool! What were you doing in Alaska? :)
I read all the issues from the start of the Geoff Johns run because of my twin sister (Aelonia here on the site). I think it was when I was home for Christmas one year during college and she got both me and our brother hooked. She had all the issues in the series up to that point at home with her so I just spent that break reading lots of Green Lantern!

I'm somewhere in Rise of the Third Army right now as well, though my ability to read more is directly proportional to how much extra funds I have in my American bank account after all my necessary expenses are paid. So I'm not catching up as fast as I would in an ideal world. :p

I don't mind! I'm happy to share the Green Lantern love! :pleased-1: I do always wonder how many people, when they see my sig, actually know what it's from. I didn't make it myself, though. There's a thread where people can request sigs from people who are really good at making them. I posted the original image (which I just found on google image search) in there shortly after I joined the site and asked someone to make me a sig with it and that's what they came up with! :D Unfortunately, I don't even remember who made it anymore, but you could definitely ask. :)

I like the idea of making your avatar blue lantern-affiliated! :D

Dars, that's awesome! :D It's a great series and I'm sure you'll enjoy them. I haven't read Ganthet's Tale as that's from before I started reading. I think No Fear was either the very beginning of where I started reading or shortly thereafter. My favorite parts of Green Lantern I think are when you start getting into all the different colored Lantern Corps and hearing from Green Lanterns all over the universe (rather than just the ones from Earth), but I remember really enjoying No Fear as well and it's definitely a good place to start!

Epic story of joining is epic. :hug

Welcome, Zad. You must have good cred if you're with Kitan Sedai. Her awesomeness has a tendency to rub off on people around her, in my opinion.

PM me if you ever want to chat. I'm a new-ish person myself so let me know if you find anything confusing! (I may have good new-person advice.)

Love green lantern but really never kept up with graphic novels or anything. Somewhere - probably at my brothers - te is a huge compilation book of the original comic stories of all DC superheroes. I remember reading it multiple times when I was young

That's a complex, strategic game (like chess), right? If so, I'd probably be horrible at it, but I'm more than happy to learn and try  Brandon or Eli would probably be better at it than I would be - they're more strategically-minded.

Brandon and I have been watching the Justice League cartoon on Netflix and it has Green Lantern. He seems pretty cool, though a bit overpowered...

Hey!

I have the entire chronology memorized. If you like I can give you the whole list and you can pick it up in Graphic Novel form as you go!

Ganthets Tale is before Geoff Johns run so I never read it. No Fear is a pretty good starting point. There is only ONE graphic novel by Geoff before it.

Once I get bigger privileges when I become a citizen, I think I will go to that page your talking about. I need a sig. :P

It might be fun to play with you guys! Its up to all yall. Green Lantern comics are WAAAAAY better than ANY of the shows. Especially when you get all the other colors of lanterns.

Welcome to Tar Valon, Zad! I look forward to getting to know you. :D I work graveyard shift, so if you're at work when Kitan is, chances are I won't see you around at CC much. But there are always our awesome local events! I'd love to learn how to play Go.

Another Captioncaller! Kitan and Winter will soon convert the entire building!

That's certainly the goal!
