So I pestered Brandon about this at Dragon Con this past weekend. He said, "Right now, he would say his name is Ladrian."
WHAT DOES IT MEAN!?!

O___O
It would make more sense for him to hold a gun on the cover of the last book. But I like the hatI would just innocently assume it's just a misdirection on Wayne's part, but you never know with Brandon.
Speaking of Wayne, though, is anyone else irritated that the cover art of Alloy of Law shows Wayne holding a gun?

Artists don't always read the entire books, do they? At least that's the impression I've gotten. And that publishers fix the art and the authors don't always have a lot (if any) say in it.It's like... Did the artist even read the book? Did the author not look at concept art? Who was in charge of approving this cover?
I've gotten antsy over minor cover art flaws, like sandals not the style as described, but Wayne holding a gun, that's kinda a big point.
Brandon Sanderson said:By the way, I realize the cover has a problem with Wayne holding a gun. It wasn’t worth complaining about, as I felt that there needed to be a gun on the cover to indicate the shift in the Mistborn setting. However, Wax’s hands are both down low, so the gun really does need to be in Wayne’s hand. Just pretend he’s holding it for Wax.
Could they ACTUALLY be related somehow? Like... Third cousins or something? So I pestered Brandon about this at Dragon Con this past weekend. He said, "Right now, he would say his name is Ladrian."
