TarValon.Net, may seem like just another website, but in our hearts we know that it is so much more. For many it has been a safe port in a storm and a catalyst for connections. What is truly different and unique about this website is what these connections have become. We face challenges together, navigate conflicts together, and take online friendships others might scoff at and let them flourish in real life. We are families, we are friends, and we are neighbors despite the oceans between us. This is a home, a safe harbor, and not just a mere website. Ladies and gentlemen, based on all the evidence TarValon.Net is, without question, a community. A group of people sharing a sense of connectedness and willingness to mitigate through conflicts together. Now is the time where your community needs your help.
All hands on deck!
As most of you know at this time, TarValon.Net has hit some rough waters over the last few months. An unexpected shock hit our community. Were we a less cohesive and connected community we may have crumbled, instead this community has continued to thrive! I was personally in awe of the outpouring and sense of community that followed our ship hitting the storm. There was an immediate sense of togetherness and a desire to help. This outpouring and willingness not only exemplified these connections and the cohesion that makes this community, but demonstrated that indeed, The Tower Still Stands!
Our financial storm left us unable to accept even your help at that moment, things needed to settle, the dust to clear, damages assessed, and policies revised. Because of this, TarValon.Net was unable to accept help right away, despite the generous outpouring of support. Now, thanks to the tireless efforts of our wonderful officers, we are now ready for the community to help right the ship.
It is a tight time for most families, with the end of the year, the holidays, traveling, and gift-giving taking so much of your budgets. We understand this, but still want to ask that if you are able to, please consider helping with a small donation. More than ever before your donation, no matter how big or small, is more appreciated than words can express. Your donations are a gift this season to this community, a gift to the friendships and families that make up this community. A gift that stands defiantly and says, the Tower Still Stands.
We intend to run it through January and will keep you updated on our progress. Our goal with this fundraiser is simple- and our goal is to right the ship. We have debts that we need to cover, costs for the server were covered by a member, in 2013 we’ll need a backup server, costs for the 2012 scholarship and to start new banking accounts were covered by a member, the costs to keep Fall Ball 2012 going and honor the deposits made by members who attended were again covered by the generosity of a member. Our members are amazing, simply amazing. Nobody in our staff from the officers on down are paid. The volunteerism that goes into keeping this ship afloat is incredible. That members further stepped up to cover costs and keep us afloat speaks volumes. That I know this community will rally now, and help to pay these debts back and right this ship- this is the stuff of legends. I am honored to be a part of it.
How to donate then? Well you can send your donation to our new paypal at PAYABLE@Tarvalon.net. Please ensure that you only use only PAYABLE@Tarvalon.net, and leave us a little note that either identifies you by your tower name, or if you prefer, the note of anonymous. For those preferring to send a cheque rather than using paypal, please send them to the address that follows:

This fundraiser we are doing something new, taking a course through unchartered waters and mending our sails as we go. That said, please ensure that your donation is denoted as either given anonymously, or includes your tower name. The Tower Still Stands fundraiser is doing things a little differently and this means something a little different on our Avendesora Tree- a leaf the color of Pirates Gold! Glimmering golden leaves will be added to our tree for your support in this time where our need is greatest and to denote your support as we right the ship and mend the sails.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here as others may be wondering the same thing, or feel free to email me at Outreach@Tarvalon.net.
Thank you, the Tower Still Stands!
