Please use this form to track Collective group efforts (1 submission per group per activity) Individual efforts outside of group-wide endeavors (1 submission per person per activity) Time, money, and donations are listed as possible ways of giving. There is also an "other" option to be specified by you in case what you or your group does simply doesn't fall in line with any of these three choices. Be sure to quantify whatever it is you did. Also, if you have any supporting documentation -- the last question is a file upload option to share any photos or certificates you have; we are operating on the honor system, so this is not required but merely encouraged. Try now! I didn't change the setting from default, which restricted viewing to members logged into an @tarvalon.net account. My apologies.
It is working for me now, thankyou! Also is there a starting date of when to count our volunteering efforts from? For example, I have volunteered all year, but perhaps this is meant to have started in November? My apologies if this is listed clearly elsewhere, I am on limited data and not easily navigating the mobile version of the forums on my phone
Thank you to everyone who has used the tracker so far! I'm going to try and do monthly updates, sharing what people are doing starting at the end of January/beginning of February. So use this thing! Share what you're doing, so we can celebrate you.
Anything! The hope is that group-specific activities would reflect what your groups chose, but if you are doing something individually -- you do you.
Mwahahah, it is time! From December 22, 2020 up until today, here's how our community has helped: @Arella Mathara, @Jocasta Braithe, and I have been repping the "Of All and None" group by donating to different things we find to be important. Arella, I don't read Norwegian and failed at trying to translate it manually and using my phone. But one donation was something for pets! The other just said "Donation" in Norwegian and I am lost. But I am sure it is an amazing cause! Jocasta donated to GreatNonProfits/In Her Presence. I donated funds to help pay for funeral expenses for a local child that passed away, and also donated to the ACLU of Tennessee. @Zashara Sho'am of the Browns donated $600 to a food bank. That's a lot of food, and I'm sure it's helped many people. @Sonea Ilandred of the Blues adopted a puppy from a kill shelter in Romania. I've enjoyed seeing pictures of your puppy on Facebook! @Imzadi Hopewind of the Grays donates the equivalent of $70 every month to support an animal shelter, deaf children in Kenya, and the SOS Children Village in Nepal. I'm inspired by your efforts to reach out to help in different parts of the world. @Ninya Evoneigh, @Melisande Arneil, and @Tree have been doing quite a bit of work for the Greens! Ninya logged a donation totally $170 for The Trevor Project, registered for the highest level of GISH which gives back to True Colors United, and gave $150 to a youth who needed to make ends meet. Meli gave $100 to United Way and $100 to Kids Help Phone Saskatchewan. Tree donated $30 to Dry Feb which benefits the Canadian Cancer Society; she also donated $100 to an unknown cause. Reading all of these submissions has really brightened up my day. I've had 2 crazy busy days at work, and I just wanted to come home and crash. But this helps. Y'all rock. (Also, I'm going to add a field or two to the form to hopefully clear up some confusion going forward. Thank you for your patience! This is the first time I'm trying to something of this scope, and I'm only human. )
Oh, I did write a bit about the donation in English and included a screenshot of that with my submission. At least I meant to and have the note on my phone still, I do forget stuff sometimes though But yes, one was for an organisation caring for homeless and lost pets.
In Her Presence is a local organization to me created and run by women who immigrated to the US to help empower and advance other immigrant women, they help with English language learning, health and wellness, cross cultural understanding, economic opportunities, and all sorts of other things. They are a fantastic group and their website is here if anybody's interested. https://inherpresence.org/
Last day of February! Add your information to the tracker if you haven't! Updating this thread tomorrow with what people have done in February.
