Our Social Media Team is a very fun and very busy place to work! As such the Social Media Manager @Siera al’Cere is looking for some experienced and fun loving individuals with a passion for social media.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Engaging through social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, TikTok, Tumblr, and Twitter.
  • Sharing TarValon.Net News, including but not limited to membership announcements and Tar Valon Times blog posts.
  • Brainstorming and creating new engaging content on a monthly basis.
  • Scheduling, pre-scheduling and editing social media posts.
  • Actively engaging with the community in response to comments and direct messages.
  • Curating interesting and engaging content from like minded communities and information sources.
  • Monitoring ongoing topics of interest for news and updates (such as WoT series, book releases by Brandon Sanderson, etc).
  • Driving traffic to the TarValon.Net Forums/Discord through consistent posting and engagement.
  • Discovering new channels, partnerships and ways to engage socially.
  • Actively engaging and participating in the Social Media Team Forum and Discord Channel.
  • Be tactful and considerate when providing feedback and edits to fellow staff members.
Time Commitment

Must be willing to spend ~7 hours a week at this position, across the TarValon.Net forums, Discord and social platforms. The ability to check on the Social Media Staff Board on a regular basis is a necessity for this position.

  • Must have been a member of TarValon.Net for at least 6 months. Open to any rank; citizen or above.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must enjoy social media interactions.
  • Must adhere to TarValon.Net member Code of Conduct when engaging on social media.
  • Must follow TarValon.Net’s social media rules when engaging on social media.
  • Must understand the sensitive nature of social media and, therefore, maintain and promote the culture of inclusivity as is consistent with our membership standards.
