It is good to see you again among the living.
Well I saw it twice, once with my best friend and her 8-month-old baby (so admittedly half of the time watching the movie was spent keeping an eye on him, trying to make sure he didn't disturb anybody or crawl away ) and the second time with a friend who was in Brisbane to visit for a short while. A bit different from my crazy-excited-get-up-at-the-crack-of-dawn-to-go-see-the-very-first-session-on-boxing-day-dressed-up-like-an-elf-with-my-just-as-crazy-friends behaviour during LotR... but still good. And I thought the ending was golden.
Do you have the extended editions (for the first two, I mean) and/or have you seen the interviews and commentaries and stuff? They just make me love the movies even more (just as they did for LotR). I feel like PJ's movies would be AMAZING fun to work on.
I'm glad you liked the ending too. Like I said, I like action action action!
I don't own them, but my housemates too so I've seen quite a few of the interview and commentaries second hand, and I'm really impressed with how much thought and work went into making them. Though there is some tension between Tolkien's family and Jackson, the care he took to make the movies well really shows.
I remember you mentioned in your first post that you are still unsure what you want to be "when you grow up". I am starting to believe that is actually a myth, and that I will forever walk the Earth, believing I will one day find the perfect job, all the while working toward a perfect profession that will never appear. How do we cope with such a thing??
