At Dragon Con, everyone plays this game called Darkfriend where you try to figure out which of the villagers is the darkfriend who keeps killing off the other villagers. Everyone votes on who they think is the darkfriend who is then killed off because that's the only way to discover darkfriends of course. Several people and I decided to form a team so that we would have enough votes to kill off whoever. We'd invite people to "Team Awesome" so we had a greater pull on the votes. So, this happened to be Brandon's first Dcon after he was named as the successor. He came down to the track room and we invited him to play. Brandon sat down to play and I tried to kill him. Everyone has a chance to defend themselves after they are accused before everyone votes to kill off who they think is the darkfriend. Brandon said something along the lines of, "If you kill me, I will kill you off in my next book." Yeah, not exactly what you want to say if you want to stay alive. EVERY single person in the group then cast their vote against Brandon. Near the end of the con we got Brandon a card with our names on it and we told him it was because we didn't want him to misspell them in the book.
