Hi there all!
I'm happy to be here and look forward to discussing the Wheel Of Time over the upcoming months and hopefully, years.
I used to be involved in WOT forums very actively 15-20 years ago when I was reading the books and the series had yet to be completed.
After Robert Jordan sadly passed away, and the books were finished by BS I lost a little interest.
Not that I felt Brandon Sanderson did a bad job as such, i believe he did as well as anyone could expect, it's just that it wasn't the same.
Of course the greatest sadness was Robert Jordan's passing.
For a few years following I didn't really think about WOT that much, until I heard that it was being adapted into a TV series.
I recall seeing the 'Winter Dragon' short film, and for a while after I didn't really believe that WOT would ever be adapted visually again.
I was therefore excited to hear about the TV series, until i started to find out about some of the changes that were being made to the plot and characters.
As such, I did not initially watch when it was released.
However, having heard very good things about season 2 over the last week, I decided to watch the series, and after a few initial concerns, have largely felt that it remains true to the spirit of the books.
This has led to my interest in WOT being re-awoken as it were, and as such I decided to return to the forums to, mainly, discuss the TV series, but also to be involved in other discussions.
I have also decided to re-read the books, and am looking for a good podcast to listen to about the series.
