Hello and welcome!!! <3 I, too, prefer physical books to e-readers. There something about the smell and the weight and flipping pages....

I am also willing to help you with an avatar and sig if you are so inclined. ;) Just shoot me a visitor message!

Hi Worley! Welcome to Tar Valon!

While I love paper books, I'm of the opinion that reading is reading and the format doesn't matter. My husband reads way more on his e-reader than he ever did paper books. Ideas are ideas and stories are stories, and the story is what matters. :pleased-1:

I am living in Bulgaria currently and I am planning to move in Belgium. I hope I will be able to take as many books with me as possible but I will probably concentrate on legal literature which I would need *sigh* I will definitely miss my books and I have some really rare ones, signed, etc.

See, I never thought of using books as a decoration... Hmm... my family might be surprised this year... :shifty I'd like to see some ideas, though :pleased-1:

Roheryn, I suppose e-readers do have their places. I do not currently have a car so I use public transporation. It is nice to be able to just grab my Kindle when I am going to run errands on the bus all day and be able to read while on the bus or while waiting in a doctor's office, etc. Much more convenient than carrying three or four books with me! Plus, since I don't have a car, it can be difficult to get to the library to check out books, too! Still, I was way behind in getting a Kindle! My friends teased me about it for years!

You can shorten it to Roh :)
I totally understand that, I still dislike e-readers. Although I do sometimes read on my iPad...
