I'm a student from New Zealand who is literate in English and Mandarin (conversational in Mandarin, fluent in English). I've read all the WoT books once, so have a general understanding of the plot, and am planning on a reread at the end of the year.
As I was reading, I thought, man, I want to belong to the structured society that helps people while looking cool. I also wanted to belong, in general, to a group in which I could talk, and to help fix some of the world's problems. But since I cannot channel and don't live in the WoT universe, I instead searched Google for communities modelled after the White Tower that I could join. Thus I found Tarvalon.net, which I joined, and thus I am here.
My hobbies include acquiring knowledge, reading, writing, and various crafts.
My favourite book is The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern, for its vivid scenery and lack of major romantic/sexual plotlines.
