There's an unofficial Word of Brandon out there that Nightblood is significantly more powerful than Shardblades. He was also asked about how they'd interact at an official Q&A and RAFOed the question.

If Nightblood powered by Stormlight is anywhere near as effective as when powered by Breath he's going to be a massive force to be reckoned with given how prevalent Stormlight is compared to Breath.

^especially because Stormlight seems much more sustainable.

Yeah, considering the damage Nightblood did with Breath, I am curious to see what happens if you feed it Stormlight :look

Going to be a hell of a scene that's for sure.

I don't think it's a big spoiler if you're fairly Cosmere-aware, but I'll put it under a tag just in case, regarding Nightblood.

In one interview a year or so ago, Sanderson said

that Nightblood was created by someone who had seen shardblades and was attempting to replicate the effect on Nalthis.

    His quotes:

"Nightblood is kind of his own strange thing. He's an attempt to use one magic to replicate something in another. He's closest to a spren, but kind of like a...robot spren, for lack of better words to use."

"There are those involved who knew that Shardblades existed before they tried the Nightblood experiment."

At this point, I'm thinking we need a prequel or sequel for Warbreaker :lol

Until I noticed Nightblood was in Roshar on my second re-read, it had never occurred to me that the Investitures could be mixed like that. It makes the possibilities in the Cosmere basically endless.

Vasher is in Words of Radiance as well, under a different name. Spoiler tag just in case:
Zahel the grumpy ardent is Vasher.

Yep, which also raises some interesting questions...

I think it was meant to be somewhat obscure. Brandon does a great job of tying his books together without making them more difficult to read for new readers.

So my Audible account just unpaused which means I get credits again. Which in turn means I can start buying expensive books again. (Books that cost more than my monthly fee of $14.95)
I just purchased my first Brandon Sanderson book: The Way of Kings. I'll be starting it as soon as I finish my current audio book! :yay

I use my credits to buy all the Wheel of Time books :) I like listening to them since I have read them so many times. And it actually makes me notice new things, since I cannot just skim some parts of the book...

I usually listen in 1.25 or 1.5x speed because that mirrors how fast I read and how fast I absorb the words :look
