You all just have to read this!! When I did; MIND BLOWN!! Brandon Sanderson works are so much more intense and tied together than I thought they were!!
Yes, the Cosmere is something years in play. Every Sanderson fan should know about it. When Dragonsteel comes out, it will be highly relevant. Also the third Mistborn trilogy (Hoid will be a main character).
That's a great summary of Cosmere. I've been trying to put the pieces together for awhile but couldn't find a great summary in my spare time. Thanks for sharing Satrim!
The answer to this earlier question has probably already posted but I'll type it out again to be on the safe side: Book one is called Way of Kings Book two is called Words of Radiance The title of Book Three is not yet released. Thanks!
The Words Of Radiance had me on pins and needles over and over again. I really enjoyed reading it but the first book, Way of Kings, is the one I read over and over again!
I just finished Words of Radiance so I shall harass you with my thoughts. Haha. I've been at the beer, so excuse my spelling failures. It is! Just as big as WOT. Same here. I went to ereaders (albeit a cruddy old Sony one), but I really need to physically turn the pages. Yay! I only have a month for the new one to come out? Thanks so much for all that info! Thanks! OMG. I thought I was the only one. I got mine from the library, treated it gentle, and it blew up. Back cover fell off, side fell off. I don't even know what to do. I'll probably fix it with tape, pay the library for the book, but insist they put it on the shelf so others can enjoy it. Congrats! Great title. Thanks!
Yeah, no, the release date has been pushed back significantly. First draft of Oathbringer is currently 58% done according to the official progress bar.
Blah. Thanks for the info, though. Gives me time to read everything else of his. Read the Mistborn books already. Spoiler Both series, so much to do with the weather.
I really want to, all I've heard is good news about it, buttttt I'm already doing a re-read of a series that is supposed to be having a new release towards the end of the year. Matthiew Reilly's Seven Ancient Wonders, Six Sacred Stones, Five Ultimate Warriors and the one I'm waiting on to be released, Four Legendary Kingdoms. I'm not sure what the series is called as a whole :scrath
I'll have to check that out. I used to be able to read a book in 3-4 days when I was young. I'm slower now.
Just started listening to the audiobook version of Way of Kings yesterday. I plan on listening a lot on my plane ride coming up
The female narrator's voice when she read dialogue bugged me for a lot of the audiobook before I finally got used to it and could tune it out. I'm curious if you find her voicing of dialogue to be jarring, also.
Turns out, both narrators do the WoT audiobooks. I do prefer the male narrator, but I knew what to expect
Ooh, so when I listen to the WoT audiobooks, I'll have to deal with her again. Ah well, I got used to her voice with the Stormlight Archive audiobooks; I can do it again.
I find Kate Reading way more irritating than Michael Kramer. Apart from anything else, she's incredibly inconsistent with her accents.
Did anyone else notice that Nightblood, the awakened sword from Warbreaker, showed up in the epilogue of the second Stormlight Archives book? Or am I just going crazy?
Yep, its all part of the whole cosmere crossover thing going on in the Stormlight archive. Will be interesting to see where it goes though.
