New year, new thread -- but the same overall goal of helping our communities through blood donations. This year will be our 7th year of hosting our annual Blood Drive. As a community, we have contributed to this initiative since the Boston Marathon Bombing in 2013. Blood banks in our local communities are vitally important whenever medical emergencies strike. In 2020, nine donations were reported from February until November by 5 unique donors for a total of 10 pints of blood. Donations were made in the United States, Sweden, and the UK. Thank you for your donations! How this works: Whenever you donate blood, swing by this thread and complete the donation form found here. You can complete the form as many times as you donate. Submit forms by December 31, 2021. If you have donated blood, or feel this is an important cause and want to help promote it within the community, here are our Blood Donation graphics: Spoiler Icons: Signature Badges: Signature: More graphics can be found here in our library. Many thanks to everyone for your help and support with this!
The pandemic really restricted many of the blood drive activities in my area last year but I'm hoping to participate in 2021!
Ohh I can do this! I've been donating blood once a year at Dragon Con, but since it got canceled last year I donated locally instead. And then I just kinda...kept doing it, every time they reminded me.
That's awesome. I stopped trying to donate blood after the 3rd time I came away looking like a drug addict. Small veins, much stabbing, not fun. But I wish everyone else well who can and wants to do this.
*double post, good reason though* Graphics in the first post have now been updated to the new logo. Many thanks to Marketing for their assistance with this!
