I am writing to provide my strongest possible recommendation that Teavin Calayna (formerly Blythe Alawdin,) Accepted of the White Tower, be raised to Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah. As an Aspirant, she has been an enthusiastic, friendly, and engaged participant in the Red community since she came to us, and she has felt like a Red from the very beginning. Moreover, she has been a highly visible and motivated member of the broader Tower community ever since she joined the site. She has contributed to the community in many ways, the most recent of which was her service on the Community Council. It should also not be forgotten that she performed that service knowing that it could delay her Raising, but she accepted this fact with grace and good will. I firmly believe that Blythe embodies the values that we share as Red and as Aes Sedai, and I am ready to welcome her home. And then, if we need something a little more fun for the announcement... "Hell yeah, let's do it! Welcome home, Spamboni! We have waited long for you!"
It always feels weird sending in a recommendation for someone who has been with us and so much a part of Red that they just feel a full member.. at the same time the easiest recommendations to write as.. um yes raise Teavin, as said before they already feel like a full member of the ajah! Make it official! Quickly now! Please stop reminding Aes Sedai that she isn't a full sister.. let us just raise her so we aren't in the wrong.. lol correct the matter so we can continue in our correctness
I feel Teavin is an absolute shoo-in! I had the pleasure of being her mentor, and have only been impressed by her and excited to see her grow within this community. She has not disappointed! She has great knowledge and comprehension of the books, has contributed to the community not only in the council but during events and just general conversation participation, and truly has come to feel like part of the family. She's sassy, lovely, dependable, and fun. I enjoy any interaction with her, and look forward to more!
I have watched Teavin (Blythe) blossom since she joined the Tower, and am so happy that she is with us in Red. She is absolutely a sister to us already, and is an active and integral part of the group. I'm sure she has had to exercise Aes Sedai patience until we could raise her, but it's past time now. Make it so
