I have found that the private messages aren't threading. For example, when there is a conversation to see what I said to them prior (or what they said 3 pms ago) I have to check the send box (or go back to the inbox and that specific message).

Is this a setting I can update and haven't found yet? Or is it a back end setting? Or something to just live with?

I've checked right now - but there isn't. Or does it work only for newly received private messages?

It seems it only works for the messages sent and received on this forum solution, not the imported ones. Note about sent messages: You have to hit "Go Advanced" before writing the reply and mark the box beside the "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder" text to have your sent messages saved.

Or you can go to Settings, General Settings, scroll down to Private Messages and choose "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default".

If you go into Settings under your profile, you can check the box to save your messages in the Sent folder.

I already did that and set it as my default. But like Onis said: It doesn't work with imported PMs.

Yeah, looks like there's no way to turn it on for the imports! At least we have the history this time though, we weren't able to do that with the last change.

How come it doesn't have the last post showing under The White Tower forums (Hall of Novices, Garrison, Within the Tower)?

Looks like it's because it has subforums. All of the "Parent" forums look that way. I'd imagine that listing the last post there, along with the list of subforums could get quite messy.

Just click on the words "The White Tower" (or the name of the section, Community, etc). It will show a list of the forums and the last thread posted in.

I checked, both under quick reply and go advanced on new PMs to this forum and do not see that option. I reviewed the general settings page and Save Sent Messages is turned on (and has been for days.)

You need to open a PM, then click View History.

As mentioned above though, this will not work on imported PMs.

PMs do also automatically quote the message you're responding to on these boards also. So if you don't delete it out, you'll at least see the last response.

I don't have access to open the page you linked to for that image. There is no View History button either in Settings or in a pm view of (new to these boards) pms.

Try that. And there has to be history on the PM for you to view it I believe.

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Found the view history in one of the black bars below the pm box. How odd! I was expecting a button or a +link.
