Hi everybody. I've been away from Tar Valon for about 15 years and I thought one of the first things I should do is (re)introduce myself here.3
15 years is quite a long time and I can't exactly recall what made me leave this place.:scratch I have never stopped reading the Wheel of Time though. The WoT TV series however pulled some threads in the pattern and it landed me right back to the Tower. So here I am... again.:horsey
As for me. Well, I'm a 45 year old guy from the Netherlands who loves everything fantasy-ish. Whether it is books, movies, games, TV series. Talking about fantasy movies I still think the best ones are the old ones like Legend, Labyrinth, Willow, the NeverEnding Story, The Dark Crystal, the Black Cauldron. sigh
Fantasy wasn't everything though. I really loved and love sports as well. Did about 8 years of Judo, and 17 years of competition Rugby. Still do a bit of Rugby only much slower. :grumble
Also happily married and I have two teenage kids whom I'm trying to get into reading the WoT. Seems that teenagers want to do exactly the opposite of what dad likes, but I have good hopes they'll come around and see the light in the end! :swordy
I'm really happy to be back and hope to get to know all the new people and hope to see some old friends as well! :dance
