Overview
Members of the Online Events (OE) Team hold staff positions in the Department of Community Development, working with and for our Online Events Coordinator and if you're into art, our Graphics Coordinator. You will help plan, prepare and execute the community's official online events. Applicants should be excited, motivated, and creative, and enjoy having fun! These positions will last until July 1, 2011, although you will be given an opportunity to stay on once your term is up.

Requirements
  • member of TarValon.Net for 3 months of any rank, Citizen to Amyrlin Seat :D

  • must be able to spend approximately 2-3 hours a week on the boards, more during freeweeks (4 times a year)[/*:m:30jhlsq8]
  • experience and skill with graphics, creative writing, leadership or event planning is a plus, but not an absolute necessity[/*:m:30jhlsq8]
  • must be able to follow through with whatever tasks you volunteer to do (i.e. no disappearing halfway through!)[/*:m:30jhlsq8]

Duties
  • Actively participate in the planning, preparation and execution of our annual High Feast Days AND other, smaller events. This can include coming up with ideas for festival activities, graphics, writing, etc.[/*:m:30jhlsq8]
  • Assist in running chats for events and festivals[/*:m:30jhlsq8]
  • Send out birthday greetings to our members[/*:m:30jhlsq8]
  • Create/alter graphics/avs, etc. under direction of the OEGC.[/*:m:30jhlsq8]

In addition to writing or graphics skills, we are looking for highly organized individuals who are able to lead small groups of people on specific tasks. Active participation on the Online Events team counts as a community contribution towards raising, btw! ;)

Be sure to include anything you can think of in order to strengthen your application, including any similar experience you've had in the past or other site positions you've held, and a graphics sample if you can do graphics.

To apply specifically to the graphics team, please make sure to include your experience and skill graphics and creation or altering of images. Please submit a link to a website, DeviantArt, Photobucket account, etc. with at least five examples of graphics work.
