Are you handy with Photoshop, Illustrator, or really any graphics program? Do you want to improve your current graphics skills? Interested in assisting with recruitment, events, activities and more? Then please apply! We're looking for more graphically-inclined folk to help with projects both large and small.
Even if you don't have large amounts of time for massive projects, that's okay! You could still help with smaller-scale ones. And overall, you'll have new items and experience for your own portfolio, resume, etc.

Graphics Development Team Position Description
The Graphics Development Team is responsible for any and all visual assets used on or in conjunction with TarValon.Net. These may include anything from logos, banners, icons, and web work to printed material, advertisements, and illustrations. We are looking for several people with a wide variety of visual/graphic design skills. Let us know what you have experience in, what your preferences are for projects, and what skills you'd like to learn or improve in, where applicable. We will have mentors available for those who would like to improve skills in certain areas or programs.
The Graphics Development Team sometimes collaborate with each other on various projects, so applicants should be able to work well with a team of designers. The Graphics Development Team members work under the Product Manager and Director of Marketing.
Duties
-Create new visual assets for TarValon.net (may be web-based or print-based)
-Update existing visual assets as necessary
-Offer critique on projects (be able to give and receive constructive criticism and feedback)
-Work with team members to brainstorm and troubleshoot ideas
-Work with other departments within TarValon.Net to manage their specific design needs
Requirements
-Must have been a member of TarValon.Net for at least 3 months.
-Active on the boards/in chat on a weekly basis, at least. Available to communicate about projects, without disappearing unexpectedly. LoAs are fine, of course, but we need a solid commitment to at least regular check-ins so we don't leave other departments hanging.
-Must be experienced in any or all of the following areas: graphic design, interactive design, typography, illustration, or visual arts. All applicants are asked to submit a portfolio of work with their application, either in the form of a personal website, Coroflot site, a Photobucket album, a DeviantArt account, or equivalent. -Must own some form of reliable graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, Paint Shop Pro, or other. (please specify)
-Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, and be able to give and receive constructive criticism from other team members.
-Must be able to work with a deadline.
-Skills in any of the following areas are a plus, though not required: HTML/CSS, ActionScript/interactive design, online advertising, etc.
-Absolutely no prior experience as a mime.
