My rambling/live blog as I watched:
- holy balls a sister for Moiraine. that's a change. But they gave us a dressing scene where we can see corsetry and undergarments so I forgive them!
- loooove Alanna's village thingy being so indian-influenced. Such a nice visual change from ye olde england fantasy
- sending visual images is way easier to portray on screen than literally telepathy with wolves, that would have to be subtitles and that's visually meh
- finally some evil Liandrin! And having a genuine reason (perrin and loial are captured) instead of generic "uh rand is in trouble" is a way better reason.
- ok which of the writers is seriously into kink Y'all think Sanderson is watching this with the warder 3somes and all the S&M?
- Originally dubious on Lanfear healing herself, but it makes some amount of sense if you want to go with "only balefire can truly kill forsaken" and then you don't even have to bother with resurrected bodies, you can just keep the same actors the whole time. Which is way better for a show than new bodies (and avoids the ickyness with Balthamel/Halima gender stuff)
- there is no reason Moiraine should have been able to find them. Just because the sister knew about Selene and the inn is no reason she would know about Selene taking him to her sexy cabin with a view.
- leaning more towards "moiraine is super shielded" given that she still seems to think that she can't lie and we haven't seen any evidence that she can. It's possible that she hasn't tried and is going on instinct, but it's not reading that way.
