With Perrin having his hammer created, and the Aes Sedai creating power wrought swords is it a new age in blacksmithing? I want to get into blacksmithing at some point so it perked my interest. Also, could the power be used to forge armor that never breaks or strong armor that is light as a feather (Mithrill) that would be really cool! Thoughts?

Also if anyone has any helpful hints on starting blacksmithing that would be awesome too!

For the in-book question, I'd assume the 4th age will once again have power-wrought weapons, now that the ability to make them has been rediscovered. Power-wrought armor would be pretty awesome, I agree.

For questions about real blacksmithing, maybe check out the hand-made crafts forum? That's probably your best bet in getting someone knowledgeable here.

local Renaissance faires or local reenactment groups will be able to help you start an apprenticeship. Each guild has their own rules make sure you find one that fits.

While we're at this topic... What do you guys think, now that the power wrought weapons are rediscovered, what will happen to the Aes Sedai oath that prohibits their making? Will Asha'Man be the only ones that make them, or will Aes Sedai reconsider?

Hmm, that's an interesting point to ponder. I don't really see the three oaths going away completely so long as the White Tower is around, so in the same vein, I can't see them being modified. But there are a lot of other female channelers out there that do not take the three oaths. Also, if Egwene gets her wish, there will be "retired" Aes Sedai that are freed from the oaths.
