I have indulged myself and preordered it to my kindle app as well as the actual book. The book in itself won't be here until December I couldn't wait that long D:
I purposely didn't read anything in advance to be surprised when I got the book. It's funny, as of last night I'm about 300 pages in, which for any normal book would be basically done. But then there's this behemoth.
So, the title headers from the Oathbringer preface. Think Dalinar wrote it?
I have only just started, I am having trouble concentrating, and I don't want to read when I am tired because I would miss stuff... I have done that too many times with new books before
I LOVE what I have read so far thuogh. Love how Dalinar curses politics while trying to master it... And a little :crywhen Kaladin found his parents I am normally not a big Kaladin fan, but that scene was good
Holy crap! I had assumed the Nahel bond would be the only magic system Hoid would be unable to make his own, since it involves actually bonding a cognitive being. I guess the Order of Lightweavers fits him perfectly.
I loved the previous two books, but parts of them dragged a bit and annoyed me. This one, I loved every single word. My favorite character is still...
Vivenna!! And to think I hated her on my first read of Warbreaker.
So, what is the timeline for Heralds/Surgebinders? We learn that surgebinders exist before men brought Odium to Roshar, but that the Heralds and Oathpact was in response to the desolations, so they would have come after.
On their previous planet (whatever it was), would they have been bonded to Odium's spren?
