So, new forums. Yay! We're all excited by the new forums. I know that the way things work on phpbb3 are a bit different from phpbb2, but we'll all get used to it sooner or later, and then the wonderfulness that is the new forums, with all the new capabilities, will be second nature. This is a project that has been in the works for two years or more now, so we are all very excited that it has finally come to fruition. Please join me in thanking Zhareen, Defen, Valorian, and the rest of our Department of Technology. They've worked incredibly hard on this!
With the change to new forums, we decided to change up our structure a bit. Much of it is the same, but enough is different that I want to make a run-down of all the forums and what they're for. Please note that we are making use of sub-forums, which means that if you don't see a forum listed here that you should see based upon your usergroups, it's probably because you haven't opened its parent forum yet. If you need to be added to usergroups, please visit the appropriate thread in Entry Portal and Passport Control! Be sure to give us exact usergroups you need access to!

The most important forum at the moment is a temporary forum, and it's Entry Portal and Passport Control. If you need to be added to usergroups (which every single one of you will have to be; this is a manual process), please visit that forum. If you see a bug or a glitch, check that forum. If you can see forums you shouldn't be able to see, check that forum. That forum will probably be up for a month or so before we take it down.

[*]Events - announced in the admin meeting notes, all of our official events and conferences will have a planning forum up year round so that we can release information as it becomes available. All of these function the same as before.

- General - General and Mundane have been combined into one forum, General. We decided that it was redundant and somewhat confusing to have the two separated out, since what could go into one could go into another a lot of the time. So now they're one forum!
[list:12ov0yd2] - Frivolous Fun - Frivolous Fun is taking the place of both Games, Quizzes, and Humor and the Faire Grounds. The things that went into GQH go into this forum. Then, when it's time for one of our festivals, the forum will shut down for a week while the Online Events team gets the forum set up right, and then it reopens for the festival!
