A little before noon on Saturday, April 25, an earthquake struck the city of Kathmandu in Nepal, measuring 7.9 on the richter scale. Only two days later, the death toll has risen to over 3800. Many of the cities and villages surrounding the epicenter have been reduced to rubble. The earthquake also caused a devastating avalanche on Mt. Everest killing an unknown number on the mountain and some in the base camp below.

Starting today, we are calling on our Servants of All and running a donation drive for the victims of this horrible tragedy. You may donated to the charity of your choice.

Here are a couple of options for you if you are looking for one:

American Red Cross - Select Nepal Earthquake Relief for where your donation goes in the drop down box.

Samaritan's Purse International Relief

Unicef

Here is a list on cnn.com also listing several charities taking donations: http://edition.cnn.com/2015/04/25/world/nepal-earthquake-how-to-help/?iid=EL

I will update this list as we find new places to donate.

After you donate, we ask that you please fill out the following form located

Here is a sig and a badge that you can wear to show your support.

Thanks for posting this, Ary :bow Could you maybe add a few charities for European countries ? national Red Cross, Unicef, Handicap International, Doctors without Borders for instance.

But I don't understand the need for filling a form :embarassed: Does it count for a merit or something ?

I have Unicef in the first post and will search for the others today and add them. :)

And the reason for the form is because we want to try to keep track of the grand total that we donate, as well as asking which charities are donated to so that I can add to the list in my first post.

Thank you most heartily, I posted a thread regarding this tragic happening on current events. My Uncles wife is Nepalese. They now live in the UK, but he met her over there. Got married over there and he worked, mixed and her family are there.
Her friends and family are ok as far as I know, but she's devastated.
