My most wonderful friends,

I have now served TarValon.Net in some capacity or another for almost 22 years. That's over half of my entire life! I am not totally leaving service, nor am I officially retired. I'm still here as a resource to TarValon.Net and am glad to serve as such.

It has been more difficult over the last year or so for me to make Board meetings. My parents are in their 80's and we're making the most of the time we have left. I'm married to the love of my life and we have frighteningly intelligent cats who have (among other things) learned how to turn on our oven. So we're learning all about child locks! Thank god they don't have opposable thumbs.

I'm moving into year 10 of running a music school. I've also been hired on as Artistic Director for another 65 year old theatre company. I've founded my own theatre company and we produced our first show. The Stone Soup Theatre Co is the start of what I hope will be the rest of my career. I would never have known how to start such a thing without my experiences with you. And yes... I'm working 75+ hours a week on the low end. This time, dang it, I'll find a way to turn it into my living. ;)

Over the last few months, it became clear that I no longer had the time to meet my responsibilities in a timely fashion. When I saw the amazing amount of quality applicants ready and able to work on the Board, I knew it was time to make room for other leaders. I am thankful and happy to still be available as a non-voting advisor to the Board. I have institutional knowledge and remain a very loud voice when it comes to our original goals as an organization. I am glad that I can still be useful to a community full of people that I whole-heartedly love.

All of these changes, and now this - almost like the end of an Age. Thank you so much for everything. I am sure this is true for others, but for me personally, too: my life would be so much different if it hadn't been for Tar Valon.

I am so incredibly glad to hear you're doing what you love, even if it's so time-consuming.

You are a wonderful woman, and I am so glad you’re not leaving us entirely :)

You made me feel quite welcome the first time we met at the Bear Lake Anni in CA, and I have been happy to know you ever since.

Good luck with your new path!

Thank you for building a home for so many of us and for reminding me about an old ad campaign featuring the terrifying world of cats with thumbs :giggle

Goodness, it's amazing you have time for anything, if your cats are actively trying to burn the house down!

Thank you so much for creating this place. It has been a refuge for me when I desperately needed one.

Thank you Eleyan, for all your many years of service :curtsey

I think it is safe to say that you can look back at what you have done and be proud. So many people have found their homes on this forum and you started what would become more than a fanpage, it would become a community. So many people have met the love of their lives here, and so, so many lasting friendships that would never have come to be without you.

The title of Koyn Amyrlin is well put, since none of this would have happened if you had not started it.
May your statue in TarValon never crumble :mother

Oh for goodness sake I thought you were going to say she died :facepalm
I am glad I wasn't the only one lol :look:

Eleyan Sedai, I haven't really had the chance to get to know, but I have only ever had the most amazing things about you and your incredible service. To echo Melisande Sedai, if it weren't for you, my life would be different right now. Tar Valon gives me a light when other parts of my life are murky or in darkness. Thank you for everything you have done!! :love
