Ne'mireth did a freaking amazing job developing our Social Marketing team over the last 1.5+ years, but sadly the RL monster has claimed her (NOOOOOOO) and so she has to say farewell. Thank you so much for everything, Ne'mireth. I will miss you!

Overview
The Social Marketing Manager is responsible for marketing TarValon.Net to non-members (i.e. external marketing) through social media and other venues. The SMM is an Administrative role responsible for developing and managing the Social Marketing Team. The SMM will work with other staff on the site as needed, including the Graphics Development Team, the Department of Events and Conferences, and the Department of Community Outreach.
This is a non-rotating administrative position within the Department of Marketing. The Social Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing. Those who hold this position are eligible to earn the Administrator Merit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Applicants may find it useful to know that the Marketing Department is actively transforming its focus, function, and scope within TarValon.Net and the WoT community at large. Specific details of that change will be announced in the coming months, but I can tell you now that the Social Marketing Manager is a crucial part of the journey! My chosen candidate will work closely with me on several related projects as well as working on their own and with their team to come up with new ideas and new approaches to old ones. - Facilitate the Community experience through Social Media and the SMT.
- Socializing and promoting TarValon.Net Inc at social events, such as DragonCon, JordanCon, etc. (This may include organizing a fansite table.)
- Engaging Individuals through social media such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr.
- Further duties to be developed with the Director of Marketing.
- Have an enjoyment of handling a variety of social media (FB, Tumblr, Twitter, etc).
- Strong initiative and motivational skills, and organizing a team doing a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Activity level: 15+ hours per week, ideally 10-20 hours.
- Must have been a member of TarValon.Net for at least 6 months. Open to any rank; citizen or above.
- RL experience with social media, marketing, and/or brand strategy is a major, major bonus.
