Zasha That's right friends, it is time to vote Zasha off as Mafia Admin. Thanks for all of your hard work over this last year (plus ) I appreciate everything you've done for the game! It is time to search for a new Mafia admin. As most of you know, the Mafia admins generally serve a one year term with an offset six month rotation. This new term will run (retroactively) September 1, 2019, through August 31, 2020, and we will be hiring for the other post in April. Job Description Enforcement of Forum Rules: The usual moderator duties of keeping everything civil and enforcing the forum rules and site code of conduct. To do this, you’ll need to read all the threads and keep abreast of the games, as well as who’s coming next, etc. This hiring announcement is being posted only in the Mafia forum for that reason - if you don’t already frequent this forum, this job is probably not for you. Logistics: Mafia admins are here to help organize the games, to put everything in order and make sure we don't have five concurrent games and a big ole mess. They're here to manage who's running what when, and to an extent to help make sure everyone who wants to has a chance to play. These positions are collaborative - you’ll need to act in concert with your fellow admin to make sure things come off smoothly. The forum admins also, in consultation with me, set some standards concerning things like what kinds of in-game rules game mods can have (or must have, as in the case of, for instance, defining how LoAs will be dealt with). Education: Mafia admins are also there as educators, to help guide both players and game mods and to help make sure people have a successful game. They field questions from and offer advice and help to game mods. As a Mafia admin, you need to employ tact and diplomacy in your dealings with other members, you need to remain fair and approach all moderator dealings with as little bias as possible, and you need to commit to at least 12-15 hours a week reading and moderating this forum and its games. This is arguably the most time-consuming position in my department and will require working more closely with me than most others (I promise, I don’t bite). If you are interested, please email your application to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com by October 15, 2019 with the subject line "APPLICATION - MAFIA ADMIN- YOURNAMEHERE". Thanks, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
