Hi everyone! I could have sworn that I had registered on this forum before, but maybe I got wiped out in one of the forum sweeps that Serenla told me about because I didn't post regularly.

This is probably the only major WoT website where I haven't posted regularly at some point, but since I have met so many of you at JordanCon over the years, and since I finally made it to the Toast this year, I wanted to join and maybe (hopefully) get to know this community a little better.

I am a Theorylander originally (one of those crazy people) and I am basically just a book nerd who always wants to talk about book-nerd stuff. But if there is no book-nerd discussion happening, I might wander into TV show discussion or whatever on my quest to have my name entered in the novice book. Hopefully I won't get too confused sorting out people from the con because for the most part I only know your real names. In some cases, I only know faces.

I will say that the community structuring here is kind of alien to me. I will probably get used to it, but it might take a little while, so please be gentle.

I have always loved ASOIAF and I am very much into the show despite being a book snob who complains about adaptation issues all the time. I don't have quite as much time for reading as I once did, so I can't reread books over and over like I used to, so most of my other book loves are pretty casual. I love the Malazan books, and I have been active on their forums since 2007, but I still haven't finished the series because I realized while reading book 8 that I desperately need a reread. Of course, I need that reread even more now. One day I will reread them and finish the series. I am also enjoying Stormlight Archive; I might reread the first two books before the third one comes out, but I am a total noob when it comes to Cosmere stuff. A lot of the SFF fandom favorites are still on my to-read list.

I do like your taste! It happened that I had read the first... four books of ASOIAF, I think? So the most recent seasons of the show are full of surprises for me, and I do enjoy it (even though my boyfriend tends to grumble about all the things they changed :P) Stormlight Archive is slowly becoming my next favourite after WoT, though I'm still "only" at book one. The world is so intriguing... In fact, we have a thread dedicated to it, as well as to many other books/series, I'm pretty sure you're going to enjoy them.

My avatar is a picture of Asmodean that Brandon drew in my copy of TGS. I think. My books are at home and I'm not. Anyway, the pink bow comes from when I registered for the now-defunct adolnasium.net which was similar in community style to this one, so I needed an avatar that was an image of a person, preferably of my gender. So I used Brandon's stunning Asmodean and one of the nice people at their forum put a pink bow on it for me.

I noticed there were a lot of Blues at the Toast. At first I figured there must be some serious Moiraine love at this forum, or something, but there was a Blue raising and a Blue wedding, so I guess the Blues just made a special effort to come out for all that. Anyway, the great thing about the con is that you get to know people better every year, so hopefully you can come again and maybe we'll cross paths.

Perhaps you'd recall that I introduced myself as Terez of the Black Ajah; people apparently thought that was funny. I toasted Serenla, because she's in my heart.
