Question... after I become a Citizen, are more forums available? Like the current Events one in the Discussion Halls? Also, I sent the application in a couple days ago and haven't heard anything yet. Is that normal?

That's completely normal. It took about a week to get mine through. You gain access to several more forums as well. The Tavern is my favorite
