You might find that the groups here in real life are a tad different than their book counterparts. Everyone is really nice to ask questions and get to know though, so you don't need to be shy to ask senior members about their ajah (or company).

No, you didn't. I have someone willing to start making me a shawl. Do you know where I can get a pattern?

Sewn, knit, or crocheted? I don't know if you can see this page or not, but here's a thread called Shawl Making 3.0. If you can't see it yet, you should be able to once you're a citizen. It has instructions on making the flame, making a triangle-shaped shawl from fabric, and buying/creating/attaching a fringe.
