I found a list of questions I 'should' answer in the welcome thread, so I think I'll start there
1. Favorite WoT character and why?
Well, I'd have to say Moiraine is my first choice. I wouldn't have chosen her prior to New Spring and/or books 11+, but I can now definitely say (without any spoilers) that she is quite similar to me in my life pursuits, and I admire her a great deal.
2. How did you find us?
I know some other fans who are members. I also dabbled in your site YEARS ago, but I don't remember my username/etc. (this was a LONG time ago)
3. What do you do (student, job, etc)?
I'm a biophysicist, and I live in Baltimore MD, USA. I study the physics of how proteins get their shape. This is important for things like Parkinson's and Alzheimers (among MANY others)
4. Favorite book/author (other than WoT)?
WOT has been the slight winner with the second most important series in my life being Harry Potter. (I know...) I was a bit old to catch on at first, and I avoided it until the fourth book or so, but I fell in love nonetheless.
5. Anything you need help with?
Well, not yet...as far as I know... I would be curious to know what the 'great crash' is. I suspect that I previously encountered the site before theis event. I would also be curious about the next steps toward becoming an initiate of the tower. (so far, I've only created an account for the message boards. I know that I need to read the membership manual and apply to be a citizen...and I plan to do this shortly)
