I just finished two shawls myself. One was a crocheted top down shawl that was quick and easy to make. Kass Sedai taught me the pattern. She's made several of them. The other shawl was my Green Aes Sedai shawl which is hand embroidered with a flower and vine pattern. The flowers are picked out with seed pearls and the tear is picked out in green beads. A few years ago I made a shawl for Jadira Sedai which a completely hand fringed.
I would love to talk shawls with you. I find that I greatly enjoy making shawls.
It's fun to see so many people who love shawls as much as I do
I just finished the body of my shawl this weekend and it is time to start on the border, fringe, and embroidery work. Finishing the body felt like an accomplishment, but still lots more to go!

Aran, no, it's not my real name. But, my family name is very obviously Norwegian (the family originally came from near Narvik) and it seemed natural to choose a Norwegian pseudonym.
