I remain cautiously interested. Too many things get over hyped and under delivered these days.
Sanderson also tends to deliver on his promises let's be honest.
Maybe it's my anti-Sanderson bias, but I found his Nakomi reveal to be a bit...Sanderson also tends to deliver on his promises let's be honest.
Haven't read the book yet so had to look this up. Yeah, agreed! I still like Sanderson thoughMaybe it's my anti-Sanderson bias, but I found his Nakomi reveal to be a bit...
Even so, I remain cautiously hyped for this.

That's totally fair. His magic systems are great. The magic system in Mistborn is still one of my favorites. And, for all that I struggled with a lot of the writing, plot, and characters in Warbreaker, I did greatly enjoy the magic in that as well. His writing isn't my favorite, but I will give him many points for creativity in terms of cool world building and magic!I like Sanderson mainly because he has a lot of interesting magic systems. Even though they aren't perfect, I just find them to be creative. I still like Wheel of Time's magic system the best.
I am only one book into the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks, but his magic system based on color MIGHT take first spot, but I haven't decided yet, its a five book series, so we will see, it will either be in my top 2 or 3 or on my bottom based on how the future books go.
Don't know about everyone else, but I was quite satisfied with how the series ended. I'm curious about how the wheel turned after the last battle, but recognize that that is a new story. And a new beginning. So I don't need reveals, retcons, updates, or add-ons.I just thought there would be more interest or comments here. Strange.
I don't like the fact that Lanfear is alive. It takes away one of the main things that Perrin does in the Last Battle, and is totally unnecessary. I honestly wished they had killed of Moghedien as well.
To be honest, I feel like secret reveals after series conclusions have always been...meh. And, there's a certain author that likes to make them way too often... Even before she started throwing them out ridiculously often, I've felt this way, and now that she's at this level, whenever authors do this, I just kind go, "Ya couldn't have let fans make their own conclusions?"
And like with this one, it's like...I found out about it through memes.
