I looked at the packet from the last Fall ball, and it seems to me that Fall Ball has MUCH less planned time than Anni The schedule of events was like, first day welcome, next day dinner, then a farewell brunch... Is this correct or am I not getting the whole picture?

Fall Ball is a tourist's dream. Most of the daytime is left free so you can get together and go see the sites. There is a dinner which is when most people dress up like at Anni and when all of the socializing and drinking tends to happen. I think it's my favorite event now since it's so relaxed.

Agreed with Nandi! This previous one was my first Fall Ball, and I loved that it was a small group that could get to know each other better than at an enormous event like Anni (although I enjoyed that too).

I think I would love to go to Fall Ball..if only to get to see more of you my family at a more relaxed pace..but one trip a year is all I can afford..

Would driving the Tail of the Dragon/Cherohala Skyway be too ambitious during Fall Ball? Now, that I think about it, I guess it would be unless someone were staying longer than the weekend. The various boats on the river would be a go for people though.

I'd say too ambitious. It would be like adding a road trip onto a road trip to get to Chattanooga. But I've done it, and it's pretty freaking beautiful up there.
