They don't have the option to just send money to family or friends? That seems to eliminate a fee for me, as long as I pay with the bank account I have attached not a credit card or a debit card.. just straight from my bank account.. Does it not work that way for you?

Yes, they do, Ajailyn, and that's when you're charged a fee that's quite high if you use a card, not your PayPal balance or a bank account.

If you use your PayPal balance or bank account, there's no fee, but who wants to wait two days for a transfer from bank account to PayPal account happening if they don't have money on their PayPal balance already...?

You don't have to transfer money from your bank, PayPal will pull it automatically when you try to send the money to someone. And that still fits the no fee rule.
