I'm not sure how we'll balance going to LA in spring against London in August, but we'll do our best to figure it out! The presence of another baby in this year's Anni photos makes me hopeful that, worst-case, we can take turns on toddler-minding duties, lol. Excellent! That makes me feel better about the potential prospect of bringing a two-year-old. Probably fewer snowballs in LA, though.

I'll respond to this later from LA, but when we called I asked about their alchohol policy and the guy specifically said that they don't care if we are renting out the lodges.

I'm excited for this location! After our struggles to find a place this year that would let us carry on our traditions, we made sure that this question had been addressed up front. We definitely want to make sure that our standards are maintained! It's going to be a great party and California is going to be awesome!

ooo! all of us Northern California peoples could CARAVAN down! We can call it the Tinker Caravan!, and every time we stop, first person to say something about "searching for the song" gets a prize or something!

If the hubby and i come, we will have a 3 year old, and possibly a 4 year old with us :P

Don't forget the beaches... March is usually a bit cold for em.. but don't forget them

You never know - I've only had to close my window for a week this year and have already been sunburned twice. The past few weekends have been in the 70s and 80s, so don't discount the beaches.

Also, just like Azi, I can attest to the fact that the events team is awesome. Yelenia spent tons of time ignoring me because she was too busy trying to make everything perfect for Michigan. I mean, seriously, she comes over to my place and then gets to work on events stuff - come to think of it, she was likely using me for my internet. D:

I can't see any place in this thread where anyone said or implied these things weren't true. We're all aware how hard Events works. I'm sure this Anni will be just as great as the others. Asking questions or expressing initial concerns about the information provided is not cause for leaping to the assumption that people think Events is slacking off or doing things wrong. It was simply polite questions. I don't think casting aspersions on the people asking questions is at all necessary. No one was implying that Rachel or the team doesn't work hard on the events they plan.
