Searching for a new co-Historian

Real life has swallowed Kerna Sedai and we are looking for a new Tower Historian

The position will be working with Zimone Sedai and myself to make sure that changes in staff and membership are recorded. The ideal candidate would have an interest in the history of TarValon.Net and in finding ways to make our historical information more accessible and to give greater context to our histories

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining all site-related portions of the TarValon.net library, primarily those involving history of staff positions held on the site.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Histories - making sure the history of the tower is well documented
  • We have good records of our history, and have exhausted most of the readily available sources of information, but there are still many pages that can be better presented
  • Changes -
    • Any time structure is changed the new structure will need to be added.
    • Personnel - making sure each department is updated every time they have a change, making sure that subgroups, such as online events have a page, recording winner of "best...." on that page.
  • Bondings/raisings - Helping keeping up do date
  • Community pages - making sure the links are valid and that content isn't inappropriate
  • Parties - Documenting official events, getting reports and pictures up - working with Director of E&C/MoR.
  • Merits - making sure that Merits awarded are included on all the appropriate pages
• Communicates with Department heads or people assigned by them to make sure all pages relevant to the TarValon.Net pages are adequately maintained.

Requirements

• Must be a member in good standing.
• Must know wiki formatting or be willing to learn.
• Must be willing to spend a minimum of 2 hours a week at this position.
• Familiarity with the bylaws, chain of command and administrative structure is very helpful.
