Hey there everyone. I guess I'll start a new thread as my virgin post.
I'm just about finished listening to the entire series on audio book for the second time in a row. I have a couple friends who have read them all but they're not quite as into it as me so I was looking around for some folks who were excited enough about the books and thoughtful enough to really enjoy digging into a discussion about that. Looks like I have found those folks!
I was also intrigued by the way this community has Aes Sedai, ajah's, raisings, etc. It's kind of like RP but without actually doing RP. I was curious why the only choice for men is Gaidin. I actually sent a message asking if it was possible for men to be Aes Sedai - as in the AoL - and am awaiting a response.
Have any of you checked out Tar'Aiel Sedai? I'm curious what the relationship is, if any, between these two communities. TAS has dedicated roleplaying boards, which seems kinda fun to me. I've been a DnD player on and off since the first edition came out... and I bought a used copy of the WoT RP game on Amazon. Anyone on here tried that? Are there any other sites, etc. for WoT RP that people can recommend?
Anyways - that was kind of me barfing everything out at once. Now to continue reading through all the posts that are out there and realize that all my questions above have already been answered and discussed ad infinitum.
