The time of moderator rotation has come again and we're looking for more volunteers than ever! I want to thank my team from the last 6 months - y'all have done a great job kicking things off on these new boards and I really appreciate all that you do!
Now, these positions will all have an application deadline of December 17, 2010 and will start their term on January 1, 2011. Expect to be notified the last week of December about the status of your application. All of these positions will be 6 month terms, and if you find that you're really enjoying your job, then you'll need to reapply each time the jobs become available. With all of these positions I do ask that you do your best to stay for the entire term for consistency, though I know that unexpected things happen. Each moderator is a staff member in the department of Moderators and will report to the Director which is me!
When it comes to writing applications for any of these positions, long ones are not necessary. It would be useful to us to add things that help us get a feel for how often you are online, your usual availability, as well as a brief bit on your experience in the Community and why you would like to serve as a forum moderator. If you are online at a regular day and time, please provide that information. Also, if you're wanting to apply for multiple forums, feel free to simply put "APPLICATION - DEPT OF MODERATORS - YOURNAME HERE" and just indicate which specific ones you're interested in in the body of the application.

Job Hunters Forum
The Job Hunters forum needs a different sort of moderator. You will not be responsible for any material that is posted, as the Dept of Administration will provide people for that service. Rather, you'll be looking for personal information and other details that should not be on a public board (no matter that the forum is by request only) and so I'll need people who can be there checking and reading every thread at the very least every day. This forum will need to be very tightly moderated. If you're planning to go on any sort of LoA in the next 6 months, then this isn't going to be the job for you at this time.
