This time it's for archiving. 
Part of my new job description is handling our archives, which is a copy of records that may potentially come up later for membership or legal purposes. Unfortunately, we've never really done a great job of doing that, mostly because no one person has ever been fully responsible for it, nor have we had a consistent set of guidelines for it.
In order to catch us back up, so to speak, I need to go through the old forums and pull what needs to be saved. However, if I do it by myself, I'll never finish, not with over a hundred forums.
I fully expect to have a ton of minions for this and for it to take a while, particularly for some of the larger forums.
The old forums are located at http://archive.tarvalon.net/forums-corrupt/ . I'll need volunteers for every single non-administrative forum, including Ajah/Company forums. If you are new enough that you don't have permissions for the forums that Citizens usually have, such as General or Mundane, I'll give you permissions for those forums. In order to do more private forums, however, you'll already need permissions for those.
This is a temporary staff position under the Archivist.
Requirements
--you can be of any rank, but you need to have been a member here for a month or longer
--knowledge of Google Docs, or willingness and ability to learn quickly
--familiarity with phpbb2 forums
--the ability to recognize that you're going through the history of our members and so will be looking at dirty laundry sometimes, which means you need discretion. This isn't something you should do if you're planning on shouting far and wide the history that you dig up.
--the ability to work steadily. This isn't a position that requires a lot of hours every week; it just requires that you work steadily. Even just working 10 hours over the course of a month on it is great.
How to apply
Send an email to archivist@tarvalon.net with the subject "APPLICATION - ARCHIVAL MINIONS - YOURNAMEHERE." The basic information you need to include is which usergroups you were a part of on the old forums and which forums you have access to. If you don't have access to anything and so would need to be added to the Citizen usergroup, just tell me that. This is, for the moment, an open-ended request, so no end date. When I have enough, I'll come here and update this thread.
